The complex design and exquisite architectural detailing leave little room for error in a build like this. It is evident that Delaney & Co have undertaken this pared back project with the utmost care and skill.
Contrasting with the meticulously detailed architectural components, the handcrafted materials and finishes provide the contractor with the opportunity to display the craftsperson’s handiwork.
To complete a project like this with this high level of finish, is indicative of the tight relationship between the builder and the designer. Furthermore, it is exceptional to see a contractor actively embrace BIM technology as a tool for communicating with his client and team, to fully understand the design and to plan how to undertake the works.
This is a small but complex project that has been undertaken masterfully.
We contracted Delaney & Co in early 2024 to undertake a major kitchen, dining and living space renovation in our home. Overall, it was a very positive experience, with excellent communication throughout, a clear budget right from the start, and a timeline/work program that allowed all elements to be achieved as planned.

Superior communication skills, accurate quoting, timely delivery in line with our expectations, quality of the end-product, excellent safety processes and other compliances, a collegial working relationship and competent and friendly staff who clean the worksite at the end of every day.
Marcus Delaney was engaged by us to build our new home in Kingston in 2017. The build was unusual in that there were a number of one-off features (an indoor open-air fishpond) and new energy-saving materials and systems that hadn’t been used extensively before in Tasmania to the best of our knowledge.
We can say without reservation that Marcus met all of our very stringent criteria and we have enjoyed the result of the excellent build with no obvious issues being detected after five years.
His customer service is exceptional in that he would always check with us before making decisions on small items such as tap and shower locations or any other variations to ensure that we had full transparency of the detail and active participation in decision-making. Any major variations were quoted accurately and were effortlessly incorporated into the project schedule.
We have never experienced such a high level of customer accommodation with any builder in the past and will always be active in recommending Delaney and Co as exceptional builders.
