We are Tasmanian.
We are a team of ambitious and creative craftspeople, eager for challenge and dedicated to the pursuit of excellence, specialising in custom residential building, including new homes, alterations and additions.
Delaney & Co. is the evolution of more than twenty years of experience in residential building and project management for Director Marcus Delaney. A registered builder and qualified carpenter, Marcus hold a Diploma in Building & Construction and Cert IV in both Building and Construction and Building and Construction Site Management. His qualifications are further complemented by his accreditation as an HIA GreenSmart Professional and membership of the Housing Industry Association for over ten years.
Our team includes experienced site supervisors, qualified tradespeople and apprentices. We recognise that we are part of the broader Tasmanian building industry and we are proud to contribute to that industry by offering employment pathways and exceptional training for all our staff.
We acknowledge the palawa and pakana people as the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we work. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their enduring connection to the land, waters, and communities of lutruwita (Tasmania).
We are authentic.
Our people, and the relationships we form with everyone who contributes to a project, are key to our success.
We pride ourselves on fostering strong relationships with architects, designers and clients, and work collaboratively from concept to completion to deeply understand the brief and deliver the unique nuances of each concept.
We adopt a systems approach to project management, including transparency in all aspects of our pricing and communication.
We engage a highly-skilled and reliable team of allied trades, all of whom meet our high safety and quality standards.
We care about what we build, and how we build it.
We are bold.
Our work is characterised by attention to detail, excellent communication and professionalism.
We are one of the few residential building companies in Tasmania actively engaged with BIM (Building Information Modelling) technology. As a result, we are more deeply connected to the conceptual and design elements of a project, and more efficient and cost-effective in our execution of the build on site.
We welcome extraordinary projects that challenge, extend and inspire everyone involved.
We are integrated.
Our business offers a range of integrated services, including in-house joinery, certified waterproofing and scaffolding. These contribute to seamless project execution, efficiency, quality and cost control.
Offering high-quality in-house joinery, we can produce custom cabinetry and specialised timber work tailored to our clients’ project specifications while reducing lead times and external supply chain dependencies.
Investing in certified waterproofing is a proactive step that prevents costly repairs, enhances comfort, and improves the long-term resilience of any structure. Our team engages with the most current industry training, holding Certificate III in Waterproofing qualifications, to ensure we minimise risk associated with this important aspect of any project.
Having an in-house scaffolding team improves safety and workflow efficiency; our crews are familiar with Delaney & Co protocols and can quickly adapt to specific project needs. We are also able to provide scaffolding at a reduced cost to our direct clients.
With these key products and services managed internally, there is greater accountability and communication during our projects, reducing errors and delays often caused by outsourcing. Our clients benefit from a single point of contact for multiple services, simplifying coordination and ensuring consistency in quality. Additionally, cost savings from reduced subcontracting and bulk material purchasing can be passed on to our clients.
We are honoured.
